FAQ #12: Sharing CAD Files with PhotogeoDWG Data

Q:  I want to send a completed file with camera markers, photos, and labels to a colleague. Do they need PhotogeoDWG in order to use the drawing?

A:  The short answer is no. Camera markers are blocks, photos are raster references, and labels are mult-text. These are all AutoCAD (or Civil3D) entities and are visible without PhotogeoDWG.

When you send the drawing, also send the photo jpg files along with any other Xref files. Do this, and the person viewing the drawing will be able to see your photo images and documentation.
