Winners to be announced October 12 at awards event in Singapore
W. Melbourne, Fla. (September 12, 2023) – Phocaz, a woman-owned software development firm headquartered in West Melbourne, Florida, announced today that it has been selected as one of 36 national finalists in the 2023 Going Digital Awards in Infrastructure by Bentley Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq: BSY). Phocaz’s project titled CAD Assets to GIS – A Clip Update for the Georgia Department of Transportation (DOT) was chosen in the Enterprise Engineering category, along with two other projects from Glasgow, Scotland and the United Kingdom. These projects have leveraged digital advancements to achieve unprecedented outcomes.
The Going Digital Awards in Infrastructure annual awards program honors the extraordinary work of Bentley software users advancing infrastructure design, construction, and operations throughout the world. Twelve independent jury panels, representing 12 award categories, selected the 36 finalists from over 300 nominations submitted by 235 organizations from 51 countries.
“Phocaz is deeply honored to be named a finalist alongside 36 distinguished global companies for Bentley’s prestigious Going Digital in Infrastructure Awards,” stated Mary A. Ramsey, CEO of Phocaz. “Our company is dedicated to creating innovative solutions that empower our clients to focus on their larger vision. Bentley’s digital solutions have not only helped bring our solutions to life but have also been at the forefront of helping us drive digital advancements to make a real difference.”
Phocaz’s project, CAD Assets to GIS – A Clip Update leveraged Bentley-based solutions, including ProjectWise and iTwin, to support the Georgia DOT in accessing asset data for over 80,000 miles of road centerline. The project involved updating its CLIP CAD-GIS application, which automates the extraction of road characteristics from design files. This pioneering application automates and digitizes the process of identifying highway assets and their locations, saving significant time and costs while providing more accurate results in comparison to manual workflows.
In an official press release from Bentley Systems, Chris Bradshaw, Bentley Systems’ Chief Marketing Officer, said, “We are so excited to be back in Singapore to present the Going Digital Awards finalists in front of our users and those attending virtually, as well as invited press and analysts at the 2023 Year in Infrastructure and Going Digital Awards event. These projects reflect how organizations have improved their workflows by embracing digital technologies to maximize efficiency and cost savings. I congratulate the finalists for advancing infrastructure intelligence by adopting Bentley Infrastructure Cloud, iTwin Platform and products, and Bentley Open Applications, and I wish them success on their future projects.”
Representatives from the finalists’ organizations will present their projects to a panel of independent judges to determine the winners and meet with global press and industry executives at the 2023 Year in Infrastructure and Going Digital Awards event, which will be held at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, October 11-12, 2023.
