This is the beginning of what I refer to as “Conference Season.” Beginning in late June through November there are a multitude of conferences for engineers in the Transportation/CAD industries. Everything from local CAD user group meetings to IHEEP and AASHTO. Each month we will feature a different conference.
First up is FLUG (Florida Local Users Group) June 29 through July 1 at the Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront Hotel. This is fondly known as Spring FLUG. The conference has a 35 year history and is one of the largest, as well as longest running, Bentley related CAD conferences in the US.
Scott Green, FLUG Chair, tells us “for over 35 years, the Florida Local Users’ Group has been providing the best and most cost effective CAD training in the South East. By listening and incorporating the user’s suggestions into our training forum, the Spring 2016 Forum has been slightly revised for the benefit of our attendees. Our workshop and class schedule breakdowns now offer All User’s Experience Levels. This All User’s Experience Levels approach provides a “progression series for learning” from the Novice User up to the Expert User.”
This year the Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront Hotel is also offering conference prices for the July 4th weekend. It is an excellent opportunity to take the family to the beach.
